Social media privacy policy & legal notice

This privacy policy applies to the following social media presences

Data processing by social networks

We maintain publicly accessible profiles on social networks. You can find the social networks we use in detail below.

Social networks such as Facebook, X, etc. can generally analyse your user behaviour comprehensively when you visit their website or a website with integrated social media content (e.g. Like buttons or advertising banners). Visiting our social media presences triggers numerous data protection-relevant processing operations. In detail:

If you are logged into your social media account and visit our social media presence, the operator of the social media portal can assign this visit to your user account. However, your personal data may also be collected if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal. In this case, this data collection takes place, for example, via cookies stored on your device or by recording your IP address.

With the help of the data collected in this way, the operators of the social media portals can create user profiles in which your preferences and interests are stored. In this way, interest-based advertising can be displayed to you within and outside the respective social media presence. If you have an account with the respective social network, the interest-based advertising can be displayed on all devices on which you are logged in or have been logged in.

Please also note that we cannot track all processing operations on the social media portals. Depending on the provider, further processing operations may therefore be carried out by the operators of the social media portals. For details, please refer to the terms of use and privacy policies of the respective social media portals.

Legal basis

Our social media presences are intended to ensure the most comprehensive presence possible on the internet. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The analysis processes initiated by the social networks may be based on different legal bases, which must be specified by the operators of the social networks (e.g. consent within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Controller and exercising your rights

When you visit one of our social media presences (e.g. Facebook), we are jointly responsible with the operator of the social media platform for the data processing operations triggered by this visit. As a rule, you can assert your rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and complaint) both against us and against the operator of the respective social media portal (e.g. against Facebook).

Please note that despite joint responsibility with the social media portal operators, we do not have full influence over the data processing operations of the social media portals. Our options depend largely on the corporate policy of the respective provider.

Archiving period

The data collected directly by us via the social media presence is deleted from our systems as soon as you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your device until you delete them. Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

We have no influence on the storage period of your data that is stored by the operators of the social networks for their own purposes. For details, please contact the operators of the social networks directly (e.g. in their privacy policy, see below).

Your rights

You have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have a right to object, a right to data portability and a right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. Furthermore, you can request the correction, blocking, deletion and, under certain circumstances, the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

The FMD Company

FMD is our focus. During the development of the EU Falsified Medicines Directive, we began developing solutions for the verification of serialised medicines.

With the Falsified Medicines Directive coming into force in 2019, Lean FMD was created. Since then, we have continuously developed our solution together with our customers and in line with the requirements of day-to-day work.

360° experience
for your FMD processes

Our team combines expertise in healthcare, pharma, IT and logistics. Close collaboration with companies across Europe gives us insight into a wide range of FMD processes and their requirements.

This experience continuously feeds into the further development of Lean FMD.

The name reflects our mission. Aspis is the Greek word for shield (“ἀσπίς”). And just as a shield protected its bearer, medAspis protects its customers from counterfeit medicines.

What does medAspis mean?

Compliance Check-up: FMD under review

Companies in the pharmaceutical industry are validated and meet strict quality requirements. Nevertheless, there is still a significant compliance risk with FMD.

Suspected falsification cases may not be handled and documented in a GxP-compliant manner.

With our free, anonymous and non-binding Compliance Check-up, we analyse and assess your company’s critical FMD error messages.

Review compliance

Based on your existing FMD audit trails, we analyse among other things:

The analysis is performed entirely within your data system. No data is transmitted to medAspis. All evaluations remain anonymous.
